10 Safety Tips for Beach Go-ers

Alibaug is happening place during summer season.  People are crowding up all the beaches near Alibaug.   But remember that all beaches are not safe especially kashid & Murud beach where there were accidents in the past.  So to enjoy your vacation, keep safety in mind when taking a dip.


Below are 10 safety tips for people who want to take dip.

1. Do not enter water after drinking alcohol.  Alcohol impairs judgment, balance and coordination.
2. Never swim alone. Always have somebody with you and know your limits. Don’t swim farther than you are able to.
   
3. Never leave a young child unattended near water. They should be within arm’s reach of an adult.
   
4. Don’t dive head first into the ocean. Murky, sandy water can obscure underwater obstacles in the shallows. 
   
5. Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water regularly. 
   
6. Wear Sunscreen with atleast SPF 15
   
7. Watch out for broken glass. Wear shoes if you go for a walk on the beach,
   
8. If going for water sports, always wear life jacket even if you are an expert swimmer.
   
9. Keep your mobile phones in the hotel or in the car. There ware numerous incidents in the past of moile phone getting spoiled due to ingress of water or lost in the water.
   
10. Do not drive your vehicle on the beach.  Many cars had stuck in the sand in the past .  Remeber that no body wants to help to pull out the stuck car as taking  vehicle on beach is seen as criminal act.
